Olympiacos defeated Aris 2-1 at the «Georgios Karaiskakis» stadium in the 9th matchday of the Super League. A tense game saw the home side climb to the top of the league table.

Goals from Daniel Podence (49’) and Mehdi Taremi (60’) secured the victory for Olympiacos, while Loren Morón reduced the deficit with a penalty for Aris (74’). Olympiacos played with ten men after Gustavo Mansa was sent off (73’).

With this victory, Olympiacos recorded their third consecutive league win and turn their attention to the match against PSV for the UEFA Champions League.
