Nikolic: 'Angry, I apologize for the performance'

Despite AEK's qualification for the Conference League quarter-finals, coach Marko Nikolic expressed strong dissatisfaction with his team's performance in the match against Celje.

Following AEK's 2-0 defeat in Nea Filadelfeia, Nikolic stated: 'The first half was disastrous. We didn't even get into the game. I am angry and I apologize to the fans for our performance.'

Despite the criticism, Nikolic acknowledged the importance of qualifying and stressed the need for improvement ahead of the next matches, starting with the match against Kifisia on Sunday.
