Nikolic: "I'm angry, we must recover immediately"

AEK coach Marko Nikolic expressed his strong dissatisfaction after his team's 3-1 defeat by Celje in Slovenia, for the League Phase of the Conference League.

In the press conference, Nikolic stated: "I'm angry. We must recover immediately. We are all responsible for the defeat, except for our fans. I feel sorry for them." He pointed out the defensive mistakes and the lack of concentration, especially on second balls.

Nikolic stressed the need for an immediate reaction in the next league game against Kifisia, emphasizing that big teams recover quickly. "This anger must make us recover," he said.

Referring to Celje, Nikolic commented that they are a team that has reached high levels and is doing a very good job, while expressing his belief in the AEK project and the need for a winning streak.
