Napoli has announced its intention to build a new stadium, departing from the historic "Diego Armando Maradona". A meeting with UEFA, the Italian Football Federation, and the Municipality of Naples concluded with discouraging findings regarding the renovation of the existing stadium.

UEFA set strict requirements, and the proposed public investment for reconstruction did not receive the "green light." After a two-year study, the management under Aurelio De Laurentiis decided to create a new stadium that will meet international standards and be included in the 2032 tournament.

A suitable location has been identified within Naples. The departure from "San Paolo" is a move with emotional weight, but the team aims for a modern home for its European prospects.
