Liverpool defeated Tottenham 2-1 in London, in a thrilling match. However, the victory was overshadowed by the injury of Isak.

The Reds capitalized on Simmons's dismissal in the 33rd minute. Isak opened the scoring in the 56th minute but left injured. Ekitike doubled the lead in the 66th minute. Tottenham reduced the deficit with Richarlison in the 83rd minute, and Romero was sent off in stoppage time.
