Koita: "Five points difference is nothing, we must stay focused"

AEK scorer, Aboubakar Koita, spoke after his team's 1-0 victory over Olympiacos in Piraeus. Koita, who scored the only goal of the match in the 5th minute, stressed the need for concentration ahead of the continuation in the Stoiximan Super League.

In his statements to Cosmote TV, Koita said: "We had a good plan before the game and we managed to execute it. We wanted to make the best possible start and we succeeded. We are happy for the victory and now there are two demanding games with Rayo and PAOK, so the next few weeks will be difficult."

Referring to the five-point difference from AEK's pursuers, Koita stated: "First of all, let's celebrate today's victory, but then let's stay focused. Five points is nothing. Difficult games are coming, it's only derbies and we have to be focused and try to win every game. Now there is a difficult game with PAOK and we want the victory."

Finally, regarding his personal appearances, he said: "I certainly believe that we have a very good team. I feel the trust from the coach and my teammates. I am very happy to have helped."
