Ioannidis: 'Grateful to have Rui Borges as coach'

Fotis Ioannidis spoke about the competition with Luis Suarez and the possibility of starting against Juventus in the Champions League.

Sporting Lisbon's Greek forward, Fotis Ioannidis, told Sport TV that he is ready to help the team, regardless of coach Rui Borges' decision regarding his participation in the match against Juventus. Ioannidis stressed his gratitude for his coach, saying that he has helped him a lot since his first days at the club.

'I'm not sure if I'll be a starter, but I'm always ready. Whatever the coach's decision, whether to start or come on as a substitute, it's to help and contribute to the team's victory,' Ioannidis said.

He also added: 'I hope to score in the Champions League as well. We know it's a very important game for us. It's Champions League night, that's why we worked hard. We analyzed the opponent and now we're going for the game.'
