Historic Player Representation on UEFA Executive Committee

On February 11, 2026, FIFPRO Europe marked a historic moment as a member participated with voting rights on the UEFA Executive Committee. The President of the European Football Players' Union, David Terrier, took a seat on the highest executive body of the European Football Confederation.

This development followed the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between FIFPRO Europe and UEFA on October 29, 2024, which ensures the institutional representation of professional footballers in decision-making centers.

The Pancyprian Footballers Association (PASP) welcomed the development, emphasizing that the president of PASP and vice-president of FIFPRO Europe, Spyros Neofytides, is a member of the UEFA Football Committee.

PASP called on the Cyprus Football Association to follow UEFA's example and strengthen dialogue with footballers, ensuring their participation in critical decisions for Cypriot football.
