Flick: "I asked Deco for a player like Rashford"

Barcelona defeated Newcastle 2-1 in the League Phase premiere of the Champions League, with Marcus Rashford scoring two goals.

Rashford expressed his happiness after the game, while Hansi Flick revealed a conversation he had with Deco in the summer.

Rashford said: "Barcelona is full of great and talented players and it is difficult for me as I also have to adapt to a new city and a new culture. But I am improving and enjoying it, I feel more and more comfortable every day."

Flick stated: "I told Deco in the summer: Please, bring me a player like Marcus Rashford. I am very happy to have him here. The most important thing is that he is regaining his confidence. We are helping him. It didn't surprise me because he scores such goals in training."
