Fletcher: 'I Have Full Responsibility, No Talks with Management About My Future'

Manchester United is searching for a successor to Ruben Amorim, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Michael Carrick being the leading candidates. In the meantime, Darren Fletcher has taken over as caretaker manager and made his debut in the match against Burnley (2-2).
Fletcher, a former Manchester United and Scotland international midfielder, left his duties with the U-19 team to lead the first team. The next challenge is the knockout match against Brighton in the 3rd round of the FA Cup at Old Trafford.
In Friday's (9/1) press conference, Fletcher stated: 'There are no thoughts or discussions about my future. I speak with Omar Berrada and Jason Wilcox, I have full responsibility for the team in these two games. I will make my own decisions and lead the team.'
Fletcher also praised the club's Academy: 'I think historically, this club has been built around its Academy. We have some amazing talents and I hope they show their worth immediately.' He also emphasized the importance of the FA Cup: 'It is an important institution and we will try to conquer it.'
