Andreu Statement: "He had psychological difficulties..."

Charleroi coach Rik De Mil referred to Stelios Andreou in his statements. The international stopper is in the sights of Widzew Łódź, with which, however, there is no definitive agreement, despite what they say in Poland.

The Charleroi coach revealed that one reason he hasn't played much so far, apart from the game against Hammarby, is that he has struggled to manage the whole situation surrounding his future.

"He was briefly injured during preparation. He didn't play many minutes. And then, he told me honestly that he struggled mentally to manage the transfer rumors surrounding him," he initially said and added: "Stelios is a great person. This is the first time he has been involved in transfer issues. I understand it's difficult for him, but I have to protect my team. A player must be 100% focused on Charleroi," concluded the coach of the Belgian team.

However, according to reports, Andreou views the prospect of Widzew Łódź positively. We also remind you that his contract with Charleroi expires in the summer of 2026.
