Vagiannidis' Sporting Lisbon Announcement Postponed: The Reason

The announcement of Giorgos Vagiannidis' transfer to Sporting Lisbon has been postponed due to the death of Jorge Costa, former Porto player and current sporting director. Vagiannidis has already passed his medical examinations.

Sporting Lisbon, as a sign of mourning, postponed the announcement, which will likely take place on Wednesday (6/8). A video with the player's statements had been prepared.

In the agreement between Panathinaikos and Sporting, there is a bonus of one million euros for Panathinaikos if Vagiannidis plays in 20 games (at least 45 minutes per game). An additional one million will be given if Sporting wins the championship in the next two seasons.
