AEK Athens: January Transfer Preparations – Roster Analysis

Following defeats by PAOK and Olympiacos, AEK Athens has started discussions to strengthen its roster in January. Gaps that were not filled in the summer, such as right-back, center-back, and right-winger, need to be addressed immediately to keep the team competitive in Greece and Europe.
If Marko Grujić does not perform, AEK will also consider acquiring a defensive midfielder. Javier Ribalta stated that two transfer periods are needed to bring AEK to the desired level, emphasizing the need for immediate action.
Players out of plans, such as Mitoglou, Jønsson, and Odundjo, must leave. Nikolic wants a more flexible roster. The management is positive about transfers, and Ribalta is responsible for making the necessary moves so that AEK remains competitive.
