Boxing Champion Alexis Pefanis Passes Away

Boxing champion Alexis Pefanis has passed away at the age of 64. Alexis Pefanis competed for Panachaiki and made his own mark in the boxing ring.

Alexis Pefanis was a champion in the C and B categories, and in 1983 he won the bronze medal in the A category. According to pelop.gr, he had been facing health problems recently.

Alexis Pefanis had worked as a civilian employee in the Fire Department. His funeral will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2026, at 14:00, from the Holy Church of Agios Ioannis Zavlaniou.
