Jordan Card Sells for $2.5 Million

A trading card signed by Michael Jordan was sold for $2.5 million by the auction house «Joopiter», founded by artist Pharrell Williams.
The card, released in 1986 by «Fleer», depicts Jordan during his rookie season (1984-1985) with the Chicago Bulls. According to ESPN, Jordan signed the card last year.
Although the amount is significant, it is not a record, as another Jordan card from the «Upper Deck Ultimate Collection 2003-2004» sold for $2.928 million a year ago.
Caitlin Donovan, head of sales at «Joopiter», stated that the company aims to bring unique and significant pieces to the collector community.
