Spanoulis: "Defense is the beginning, but not enough"

Vasilis Spanoulis, the head coach of the Greek National Team, commented on the team's 74-60 victory over Belgium in a friendly game in preparation for EuroBasket 2025.

Spanoulis emphasized that defense is important, but improvement is also needed in offense. "We saw some good elements and some that we need to correct," he said, referring to the need for daily work and improvement, especially for young players.

He also mentioned the injuries of Zougris and Toliopoulos. Dimitris Katsivelis and Tyler Dorsey also made statements after the game.

Katsivelis stressed the importance of improving the team's chemistry, while Dorsey noted that it is still early and time is needed to find rhythm.
