Barcelona's High Budget Despite Cuts

Despite budget cuts, Barcelona maintains a high budget for the 2025-26 season, aiming for the top of the ACB and the Euroleague Final Four. The team, under Joan Penarroya, has been strengthened with high-profile transfers such as Tornike Shengelia and Will Clyburn.

Xavi O'Callaghan, Barcelona's director of sports, announced that the budget amounts to €28.7 million, a decrease of €3.3 million compared to the previous season. Nevertheless, it remains one of the most expensive in the Euroleague.

In total, Barcelona's departments will allocate €95 million for salaries, with increases in women's football and handball, despite the reduction in basketball.
