Iran Stuns with Comeback Win, Reaches AsiaCup 2025 Semifinals!

Iran, coached by Sotiris Manolopoulos, staged a remarkable comeback against Chinese Taipei to secure a spot in the FIBA Asia Cup 2025 semifinals. After trailing by as many as 21 points at halftime, they rallied to win 78-75.

Mohammad Amini led Iran with an outstanding performance, scoring 30 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. Sina Vahedi also contributed significantly with 21 points. Ting Chin Lin scored 22 points for Chinese Taipei.

Iran will face Australia in the semifinals.
