France vs. Serbia, 2005: France, as the underdog, defeated Serbia-Montenegro 74-71, in a tournament Serbia was hosting.

North Macedonia vs. Lithuania, 2011: North Macedonia eliminated host Lithuania 67-65, in a match no one expected.
