Vincent Poirier Ruled Out of Eurobasket for France

Vincent Poirier will not be available for France at the Eurobasket, adding to the team's absences due to injury.

According to «L’ Equipe», the Efes center is facing a serious knee problem. France, who won the silver medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics and silver at Eurobasket 2022, already has significant absences, including Rudy Gobert, Victor Wembanyama, Mathias Lessort and Moustapha Fall.

Poirier underwent tests that showed he will not be ready for the Eurobasket, which begins on August 27.

France is in Group 4 of the Eurobasket, along with Slovenia, Belgium, Israel, Poland and Iceland. This group crosses over in the knock-out stage with the group of the Greek National Team.
