DEAB summons Fournier for incident in Panionios match

DEAB (Permanent Committee for Combating Violence) has summoned Evan Fournier to give an explanation for the incident that took place in the match between Panionios and Olympiacos.

Specifically, Fournier was ejected from the March 15, 2026 game, held at D.A.K. Glyfada, after a verbal altercation with a Panionios fan. DEAB is also summoning Olympiacos BC.

The hearing is scheduled for March 23, 2026. DEAB refers to a serious phenomenon of violence related to sports, citing Article 1 of Law 4326/2015, as amended and in force with Article 104 of Law 5224/2025.

According to the announcement, the tension started when a Panionios fan made gestures and insults towards Fournier, resulting in his ejection by the referees.
