Ataman: "We are here to win a medal - Power rankings are b@llsh*t"

Ergin Ataman and the Turkish National Team face Poland in the EuroBasket 2025 quarterfinals. After overcoming Sweden and Bosnia respectively, the two teams will compete for a place in the semifinals.

The Turkish coach stated characteristically: "Power rankings are b@llsh*t."

Referring to the importance of the victory over Serbia, Ataman stressed that Turkey's goal is one of the three medals.

"We are not thinking about whether we are the best or worst Turkish team, we are here to win a medal. FIBA likes to create these things, power rankings, they are b@llsh*t. The reality is on the court and in victory. We will see in the next games what position we will take in EuroBasket.

Of course, the match against Serbia helped us because we finished the group in first place. If you see, Serbia was eliminated by Finland, as Finland played an excellent match.
