Arnas Velicka: The 'Alex Caruso' of Lithuania Leads to Quarterfinals

Arnas Velicka delivered an impressive performance against Latvia, leading Lithuania to the EuroBasket quarterfinals. Lithuania defeated Latvia 88-79.

Velicka scored 21 points, 11 assists, and 5 rebounds, accumulating 23 points in the evaluation system. He became the third player in EuroBasket history in the last 30 years to score at least 20 points, dish out 10 assists, and grab 5 rebounds in a single game. The other two are Mateusz Ponitka and Luka Dončić.

The 25-year-old guard will play for Neptūnas. Previously, only Šarūnas Jasikevičius and Mantas Kalnietis had at least 10 assists in the EuroBasket playoffs.

In the match against Latvia, Velicka temporarily left due to a head injury but returned and played for 35 minutes.
