Karalis Almost Reaches 6.11m in Pole Vault – Watch the Video

Emmanouil Karalis came very close to clearing 6.11m in the pole vault during the Balkan Championship in Volos. Although he knocked the bar off on his last attempt, he showed that it is only a matter of time before he succeeds.
Karalis, who in 2024 became the first Greek to clear 6.00m, had already secured the gold medal with a jump of 5.92m. He then set the bar at 6.11m, coming very close to success on his third attempt. Despite clearing the height, he hit the bar with his hand on the way down.
Karalis promised to return to Volos for the Panhellenic Championship, aiming to achieve the jump above 6.10m. Only three athletes have exceeded this height: Mondo Duplantis, Sergey Bubka, and Renaud Lavillenie.
