Walt Disney Co.'s live-action film 'Lilo & Stitch' has now grossed over $1 billion at the global box office, making it the first American film of the year to achieve this milestone.

Globally, the year's biggest film remains 'Ne Zha 2', a Chinese animated production that grossed over $2 billion in ticket sales.
