Sydney Sweeney: Considered Leaving Acting for Boxing

Sydney Sweeney, known for her role in Euphoria, has expressed a desire to pursue boxing professionally. In an interview with Ethan Hawke for Variety’s Actors on Actors, the actress discussed filming Christy, a biopic about boxer Christy Martin.

Sweeney mentioned that she was enthusiastic about the role, as she had practiced kickboxing as a child. During filming, she trained twice a day and seriously considered giving up acting for boxing.

This is not the first time the actress has hinted at her desire to engage in the sport. She stated on SportsCasting that there was a moment when she considered giving it all up and fighting.
