Celine Dion honored her late husband, René Angélil, on their 31st wedding anniversary. The renowned singer posted a photo from their wedding on her Instagram account, writing that she would still say 'yes' today.

René Angélil passed away from esophageal cancer on January 14, 2016, shortly before his 74th birthday. Celine Dion and René Angélil were married on December 17, 1994. They met in 1980 when a 12-year-old Dion sang for him at an audition. He later became her manager, and they started dating in 1987.

Their 1994 wedding ceremony was broadcast live on Canadian television. In 2000, they announced that Angélil was cancer-free, but the disease returned in 2014.
