Pete Davidson has spent $200,000 to date on tattoo removal. The actor and comedian stated that he intends to complete the process by the end of the year.

Davidson's tattoo removal began in 2020. As he told «People» magazine, he is almost finished with his arms and neck, aiming to be able to wear a T-shirt without any tattoos showing. He estimates that he has removed about 30-35% of his tattoos.

Davidson told «Variety» that the decision is related to his mental health, as the tattoos reminded him of "a sad person who wasn't sure of himself." Nevertheless, he intends to keep some of them.

The actor stated that it takes years to remove a tattoo, as it requires 10 to 12 sessions for each design and six weeks for healing. He also added that many people when they grow up wonder if they need designs like SpongeBob on their back.
