Mads Mikkelsen and Diane Kruger to Star in Sci-Fi Thriller 'Ami'

Mads Mikkelsen and Diane Kruger will star in the new sci-fi thriller 'Ami'. Filming is currently underway in Spain.

Directed by Fernando Súrrman and written by John Wesley Norton and Ezequiel Martinez Jr., the film focuses on an astronaut (Mikkelsen) who crash-lands on an uncharted planet after a catastrophic accident. His only help is his Quantum AI companion 'Ami' (Kruger).

According to the synopsis, the astronaut, 'as he finds himself in an alien landscape and fights for his survival, is forced to confront the fragility of memory, the isolation of space and the resilience of the human spirit'.

Súrrman stated that 'Ami' is an opportunity to tell a deeply human story through a genre that allows both scope and emotion, seeking to expand the boundaries of sci-fi storytelling.

Additionally, Diane Kruger will appear in the drama series 'The Seduction' on HBO Max on November 14.
