George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin Obtain French Citizenship

American actor George Clooney, his wife Amal Alamuddin Clooney, and their two children have obtained French citizenship, according to a decree published in the Official Journal.

As reported by Paris Match, the decree concerns the famous couple and their 8-year-old twins. The couple spends part of their time in France, where in 2021 they acquired a country house and a vineyard in Brignoles.

George Clooney stated to RTL that he loves French culture and language. Director Jim Jarmusch also announced his intention to apply for French citizenship.
