Mickey Rourke Responds to Fundraising Campaign After Eviction Threat

Actor Mickey Rourke has expressed his annoyance at a fundraising campaign launched in his name, following a threat of eviction from his home. The 73-year-old actor stated that he knew nothing about the campaign and called it "humiliating."
Last month, Rourke received a notice to pay $60,000 in owed rent, or he would have to leave his home. Subsequently, a fundraising campaign was started by a woman named Liya-Joel Jones, who claimed to be an assistant to Rourke's manager, Kimberly Hines. The purpose of the campaign was to cover housing costs.
In a video posted on Instagram, Rourke stated he was "annoyed" and "confused," adding that he would never ask for charity. Despite asking his supporters not to donate, over $95,000 had been raised by January 5th.
Rourke also announced that he plans to return to work and urged those who donated to get their money back.
