Britney Spears: 'The hardest years were when my sons were away'

Britney Spears opened up about her estrangement from her sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, in an Instagram post. She revealed that the period when her children were away for three years was the most difficult of her life.

Spears mentioned that she had been cut off from communicating with her sons, unable to call or text. She described denial and tears as a survival strategy.

She also referred to her marriage to Sam Asghari, which she described as a 'fake distraction'. Spears and Asghari met in 2016 and married in June 2022. Asghari filed for divorce in August 2023, with the divorce finalized in May 2024.

Spears expressed gratitude for everyday joys and referred to the healing process she is experiencing, stating that she feels hungry again and enjoys food.

Last year, Spears reunited with her son, Jayden, after years of estrangement.
