Britney Spears Arrested for DUI in California

Britney Spears was arrested on Wednesday, March 4th, in Ventura, California, for driving under the influence (DUI).

According to People, the singer was taken into custody and released in the early morning hours of Thursday, March 5th, without any restrictions.

She is expected to appear in court on May 4th.

It is recalled that her former partner, Justin Timberlake, was also arrested for a similar offense, eventually admitting to consuming alcohol before driving.

Spears deleted her Instagram account after the arrest.
