Billy Joel: First Performance After Brain Condition Diagnosis

Billy Joel made a live concert appearance for the first time since revealing his diagnosis with a brain condition.
On Friday, January 2nd, the 76-year-old singer appeared at an amphitheater in Wellington, Florida, surprising fans who were watching the band Turnstiles.
Videos from the evening show Joel appearing with a cane and sitting at the piano, while the audience rhythmically chanted his name. His daughters, 10-year-old Della and 8-year-old Remi, were also on stage with him.
In May, Joel announced that he was undergoing treatment for normal pressure hydrocephalus, adding that recent concerts had worsened his condition. He had also canceled scheduled appearances to focus on his health.
Speaking to PEOPLE magazine in July, Joel reassured his fans, saying: "I know a lot of people have been worried about me and my health, but I'm fine."
During his appearance, he performed the songs "We Didn’t Start the Fire" and "Big Shot."
