In an interview with the Sunday Times, Lindsay Lohan spoke about the difficulties she faced growing up in the public eye and how these affect the way she raises her son, Luai.

"I don't want my family to experience the paparazzi chase like I did. There were terrifying moments in my life, I have extreme post-traumatic stress disorder from all of that. The most intrusive situations. Really scary. And I pray such things don't come back. It's not safe. It's not fair," she stated.

Lohan and her husband, Bader Shammas, are constantly discussing how to protect their child's privacy and what kind of contact they want him to have with the media.

"I feel that [paparazzi intrusiveness] is not as intense as it used to be. It was much worse when I was younger, but now, thanks to social media, everyone can tell their story in their own way. You have regained ownership of your life," she said.

Lindsay Lohan prefers fans to ask her for a photo rather than secretly filming her.
