North West raps about piercings and skipping school

12-year-old North West, daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, has released a new song titled "Piercing on My Hand (Ye Version)", in which she raps about her piercings, her style, and her absences from school.
In the lyrics, North refers to her desire for more piercings and tattoos, while at another point she mentions that she only went to school for two days and then was expelled.
North's appearance with dermal piercings on her fingers has caused reactions, with many expressing concern for her safety. Kim Kardashian has been criticized for allowing her daughter to get piercings at such a young age.
North responded to the criticism with a video in which she lip-syncs to a song with lyrics, commenting: "This is for everyone who's mad about a finger piercing."
