Madonna Returns to Acting After 24 Years

Madonna is returning to acting after 24 years, joining Seth Rogen's series The Studio. The pop star hinted at her return via an Instagram post, where she is seen in a gondola in Venice reading a script with the caption 'The Italian job'.

In the series, Seth Rogen stars as Matt Remick, a film studio executive. Venice is also the place where Madonna filmed the music video for 'Like a Virgin' in 1984. Her last appearance in a film was in 2002 in the movie Swept Away, directed by Guy Ritchie.

The Studio has received Emmy Awards and is in the production phase of its second season. It is unknown whether Madonna will play herself, as many guest stars did in the first season, including Martin Scorsese, Charlize Theron, and Zac Efron.
