Elton John Celebrates 35 Years of Sobriety: 'I'm Grateful'

Elton John celebrated 35 years of sobriety from alcohol and other substances, expressing his gratitude on social media. The 78-year-old British artist shared a photo featuring handmade cards from his sons, Elijah and Zachary.

John has spoken openly about his struggles with addiction, which were depicted in the biopic Rocketman. He entered Parkside Lutheran Hospital in Chicago on July 29, 1990, after years of denial.

'My sobriety has brought me everything I could ever wish for,' Elton John stated, adding that he can now face life's challenges without needing to hide. He has also helped others on their path to recovery, including Boy George and Eminem.
