In the film 'The Housemaid', Seyfried plays Nina Winchester, a wealthy woman who loses control. The actress mentions that this role gave her the opportunity to explore her anger in a way she had never done before.
Seyfried, along with her husband, Thomas Sadoski, and their children, live in Stone Ridge, New York, away from the ostentatious life of California. The actress also referred to her daughter's reaction to her fame, saying that she is more driven by curiosity and is protective of her.
Regarding awards, Seyfried had stated that an Oscar 'is not important', stressing that she does not need such distinctions to maintain a successful career.
