How Astronauts Shower on the International Space Station

Life on the International Space Station (ISS) requires special adaptations for everyday activities, such as showering, due to microgravity.

NASA astronaut Nicole Ayers explained in a video how she showers using a bag with a one-way valve to control the amount of water and avoid dispersing droplets.

After showering, the water is recovered by the ISS recycling systems and reused.
