NASA's Artemis II Astronauts Closer to the Moon

NASA's Artemis II mission astronauts are now closer to the Moon than to Earth, having completed the first third of their journey.
The Orion spacecraft, carrying four astronauts, is tracing an "8"-shaped path around the Moon and is expected to reach a greater distance from Earth than any other manned mission in history.
Jeremy Hansen, a crew member, stated that humanity has demonstrated its capabilities and that hopes for the future are driving this journey.
Orion was launched from Cape Canaveral, and the mission is in its 4th of 10 days scheduled to last.
Mission stages:
- Day 1: Orion enters Earth orbit.
- Days 2-5: Journey to the Moon and entry into the "lunar sphere of influence."
- Day 6: Flyby of the Moon and reaching the maximum distance from Earth.
- Days 7-10: Return to Earth.
