On August 2, 2027, the longest total solar eclipse of the century will occur, lasting six minutes. The phenomenon will be visible in Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East.

The eclipse will have a maximum duration of 6 minutes and 23 seconds near Luxor, Egypt. In Greece, it will be partial but impressive, with a large portion of the solar disk covered in Athens.

Scientists will have the opportunity to study the solar corona for a longer time, analyzing solar flares and magnetic fields.
