Rare astronomical spectacle: Six planets visible in the sky tonight
Share on:

Six planets will be visible tonight, either with the naked eye or with a telescope, in a rare astronomical phenomenon.

According to the Fakas Observatories Observatory, Mercury, Venus, Saturn, Jupiter, Uranus, and Neptune will coexist in the night sky. This phenomenon is rare, as the planets will not be in a straight line or conjunction, but will have a common, simultaneous appearance in the sky for an observer from Earth.

The planets Mercury, Venus, Saturn, and Jupiter are visible to the naked eye, while Uranus and Neptune are only visible with a telescope.

The Pancyprian Gymnasium is organizing an astronomy night at 18:30, with a lecture by Astrophysicist Chrysanthos Fakas on "Our Solar System from antiquity to today." This will be followed by astronomical observation of the Moon and other planets with a telescope from the Pancyprian Gymnasium Observatory.
