Artemis II: Surpasses the Record for Distance from Earth

The Artemis II mission has set a new record, with its crew traveling the farthest distance from Earth ever achieved by humans.

According to the Mission Controller, Artemis II surpassed the record held by the Apollo 13 mission since 1970.

Apollo 13 had reached 248,655 miles from Earth. Artemis II reached a maximum distance of approximately 252,760 miles, surpassing the previous record by about 4,105 miles.
