30-day-old infant in critical condition with RSV in ICU

A 30-day-old infant is hospitalized in critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Aglaia Kyriakou Children's Hospital, having contracted the RSV virus.
According to the president of POEDIN, Michalis Giannakos, the infant was admitted to the hospital in extremely serious condition, and doctors proceeded with intubation.
The infant's condition remains very critical, and the medical staff is closely monitoring the evolution of their health.
RSV infection can manifest with a runny nose, fever, refusal to feed, and fatigue. In infants, irritability, decreased activity, or episodes of apnea may occur.
