The 48-year-old actor mentioned the support he receives from people, saying that it particularly moves him. He also spoke about the difficulties he faced during treatment, when he had to step away from his roles as a husband and father.

In a video he posted titled 'What Cancer Taught Me,' Van Der Beek shared his thoughts on the value of love and self-acceptance, emphasizing that he is worthy of love simply because he exists.

The actor thanked his fans for their support and urged people to get preventative screenings.
