Limassol Hemodialysis Unit: 45 Years of Service

The Hemodialysis Unit of Limassol General Hospital, part of the State Health Services Organisation (OKYpY), celebrates 45 years of providing high-quality care to patients with kidney failure in the Limassol, Paphos, and Troodos regions.
Since 1980, the Unit has been a leader in providing specialized hemodialysis services, equipped with 40 state-of-the-art machines and 24-hour technical support. It serves 200-300 patients daily, offering immediate hospitalization for emergencies.
The medical staff consists of seven nephrologists and fifty specialized nurses. The Unit serves regular, hospitalized, and emergency patients, acting as a pillar of the public health system.
As part of continuous upgrading, it is undergoing computerization and certification. The construction of a new, state-of-the-art Hemodialysis Unit is also underway, funded by the EU's Recovery and Resilience Plan.
The Hemodialysis Unit remains at the forefront of kidney patient care, offering safe and quality services.
