Pediatric Prevention Center Honors Long-Term Sponsors

The 'Amerikos Argyriou' Pediatric Prevention Center and its Friends Association honored their long-term sponsors at events in Nicosia and Limassol on June 25, coinciding with World Neonatal Screening Day (June 28).

During the events, guests were informed about the Center's activities and the new agreement with the Ministry of Health to expand the Neonatal Screening Program to cover an additional eight metabolic and endocrine diseases.

The President of the Friends Association, Fotini Tsiridou, emphasized the importance of protecting children, while the President of the Center, Dr. Argyris Argyriou, thanked the sponsors and mentioned the Center's designation as a Reference Center for Prenatal and Neonatal Screening Programs.

The Center has provided prenatal screening to over 280,000 pregnant women, neonatal metabolic screening to over 323,000 newborns, and hearing screening to over 150,000 newborns.
