Share on:

Despite the start of home delivery of medicines, queues at EOOPY pharmacies persist, while serious shortages are observed in palliative care for cancer patients.

The treasurer of the Hellenic Federation of Cancer (ELLOK), Angeliki Stefanaki, stressed the need to improve the care of cancer patients, noting that the law on palliative care, passed since 2022, has not yet been implemented.

According to Professor Kyriakos Souliotis, a study showed high satisfaction rates for the EOOPY's home delivery program. Hara Kani, director of EOOPY, said the organization is ready to start distributing medicines from private pharmacies as well.

Michalis Nikolaou, director of the Pathological Oncology clinic of "Ag. Savvas", referred to the "Oikothen" program for providing immunotherapy at home.
