EOF Recalls Batches of Maxilin Antibiotic Drug

The National Organisation for Medicines (EOF) has announced the recall of specific batches of the antibiotic drugs MAXILIN PD. SOL. INF. 500mg/vial and MAXILIN 500mg/tab.
This decision is due to the withdrawal of the CEP Certificate (Certificate of Suitability) concerning the active substance clarithromycin (Claricomythrin), which is produced at the SM BIOMED SDN BHD factory in Malaysia.
ANFARM AE is required to contact its customers immediately to withdraw the products from the market. The relevant documents must be kept for at least five years and be available to the EOF upon request.
